About me

In my writing I look for the interesting, the unexamined and the ignored. It is in these things that the stories that matter and which engage people are to be found. I am driven by a love for nature and this is a major influence in my work.

I think through things deeply, and this is reflected in my writing. As a freelance journalist, I have explored the implications of the climate crisis on English cricket for Wisden’s The Nightwatchman magazine. My words as a copywriter have appeared in a range of publications, both print and online, in ads and industry guides.

Whether editing a magazine for a readership of around 3000, or creating and proofing social media content, I have an excellent eye for detail. My experience as both an editor and as a contributor to online blogs and print magazines means I am able to switch between focusing on precise detail as well as seeing the bigger picture of a wider project.

I write about lots of things: landscape and our relationship with it, birdwatching, cricket, the climate crisis, music, books. Whatever I write about, and whether it is fiction or non-fiction, I always seek a new, unusual angle. Spot what others have not. Show things in a new way.

I will let the written pieces on this website speak for themselves, but if it sounds like my skills are what you need, then don’t hesitate to get in touch using the contact page on my website.
